Oh my god! Where is everybody! He actually did what John and Ken were specaliatin about! He changed his mind, and decided to run. This is soooo much more fun than the others. I'm tellin you McClintock has the best plan for California in my opinion, but, what matters is, who can win? As John said, now that Schwarzenegger has entered the race, Gumby's fate is all but sealed!

I wonder how many e-mails he'll get saying "You've been terminated!" I can't believe how excited Kobylt was, they both were. They were right about one thing, this is how it should be, it starts with getting the word out, people signing the petitions, and sticking with it. Joe Davis is going to be crawling into the Supreme Court begging them to hear one of his challenges, even if they do, he's done.

Oh, I love it, I can just hear Schwartzie now "That is not an acceptable outcome" in true terminator form.

Come on! aren't you guys excited? huh? huh?

I am excited! Can't wait for AH-NULT to "terminate" Gov. Lowbeam. That would be a perfect commercial - the Terminator vs. Gumby.

Go AH-NULT!!! You've got my vote!!! See you on Oct. 7!!!! Laughing

Great post! I enjoyed it immensely. I want a picture of Lowbeam as he is being shown the door.

I think Riordon felt a bit put off by Schwartzie, according to news reports, he thought they had an understanding, that Arnold would not run, and that Riordon would, ahhhh! He should've called him first, I do like Dick Riordon. I honestly believe he, Arnold, made up his mind at the last minute, too many people were taken by surprise. On the other hand, it adds to the excitment, and it made for a big moment. Poor Riordon though, he's popular, well liked, except by U.T.L.A. but damn, he's unlucky.

It would be nice if he had a position in the Schwartzenegger camp, I think he has alot to offer.

Actually Riordon would be a better governor than Arnold. One nice thing about him is that although he's a republican, politically he seems to be in the central.

Arnold's a total unknown, I'm hoping that he's like Riordon in that way. Main thing that I worry about with Arnold is that he's got a tough learning curve ahead, he's going to have to develop consensus to get things fixed and Arnold seems like the type of guy who won't compromise, and if that's true, nothing will get done.

I can compromise, how about I break only one of your arms and one of your legs instead of both?

Oh sure, yeah right, here we go again, a democrat singing Riordon's praises, it won't work this time. You and other dems say nice things about Riordon when he's not in contention. When he did run your slimy Davis ran one of his dirt campaigns against him, you all told a different tale, yes, I know the extreme right helped you, but none of you had any intention of backing Riordon! We owe our current crisis to democrats, they put Davis in office, now that your team has admitted failure, we're taking back our state.....

There I feel better!

You better watch what you say! Terminator is looking for you! He's going to break your hands and you won't be able to type.

Oh, one more thing, he doesn't have to compromise, unlike your guy Davis, he doesn't owe the special interest groups, so he's not in a position to have to do any paybacks, oops, I mean compromising.

Well, either he learns to compromise or he gets nothing done. Remember, Arnold doesn't get script approval, he can only sign bills that the legislature sends him. With a Republican legislature, it'll be a bit easier for him, but California politics are very complicated even when the legislature is on your side.

Riordan, DICK had his opportunity to run last November and he bailed on that opp.

If he had run, Arnold would not be running now.

So depending on your POV, you have DICK to thank or damn for our current situation.

Hail, Riordan!
Hell, Riordan!@^@#&@!

I'm thanking him and you should be too, hell, without Riordon, we'd be stuck talking about Kobe all of the time.

hee hee...you are a total unknown, yet we let you run this forum. hell, you were not even elected, you were appointed! And you can't even get rid of the red squares!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahha.

Additionally, compromise is frequently over-rated.

And what a lot of people wrongly term 'compromise; is in reality, capitulation. Remember that distinction and live with that knowledge.

One of my 'heroes' is Robert Moses, who was head of the Park Department and the Triborough Bridge Authority in NY.

He was never elected to any office and he served at the pleasure of the mayor and governor.

His record of accomplishment over the decades in NY is utterly astounding! Hundreds of parks, municipal buildings, bridges, tunnels, beaches, a World's Fair and so much more.

Many people hated his guts with a passion. He could be ruthless and he did not ley the handwringers and boo hoo hoo'ers get in his way.

Compromise was far from his strong point and he got more done than most people get done in 5 lifetimes.

His name was a household word on L.I. and NY for decades and still is remember today. (HA! In the Godfather, Sonny gets gunned down on "the causeway" which is the Robert Moses causeway that leads to Jones Beach, which Moses built.)

Anyway.....the hell with compromise 24/7. Sometimes you just have to haul out your cannons and start blasting away.

Yes, I agree the state's been compromised to death by Davis, mostly I'll do what you want, if you give me the money I want.

In most cases though, I think compromise is good, life requires it, doing things my way or no way never works continuously for anybody, but, every once in awhile, yeah! refuse to compromise. Wouldn't it have been nice if Davis had refused to compromise and sign those energy contracts? The providers probably handed him a few bucks to sign, knowing him, but if he'd refused, he would've saved Californians alot of money. Oh well, I know that's not a priority with him.

Yes, finally, an intelligent state supreme court.

I really had my doubts about that after that Florida S.C.and their stupid election rulings, bunch of clowns, I had no respect for their liberal agenda.
but this court has renewed my faith.

I think that this thread needs a better and more descriptive title.

"Arnold for Governor" seems OK to me.

Lauren "The Body" Sanchez on the Channel 13 'news' sounded like she was applauding on camera when her co-worker reported on the Tonight Show appearence.

After the story, Lauren, who was wearing a low cut and tight white form fitting top which was somewhat opaque.....oh, baby!.....stood stock still next to her co-anchor, Ricky Lucky and both wore stoic faces and Lauren had folded her arms just below her breasts. (Thank you.)

Guess they got the reprimand. They said they were now showing no favoritism.

Kinda funny....and hot hot hot.

OK, I have to see this Lauren Sanchez... Don, no pics available?

Great show by Issa and Riordan... they are clearing the field for the Terminator.

Ariana "The Troll" Huffington can keep her 5 votes. AH-NULT won't need them.

Garamendi??? Don't make me laugh. I like his campaign statement, "tested by the fires of today's politics". He's gonna get a lot of fire from the insurance industry and then from consumers after he drives all of the insurance companies out of the state. The current Workers Compensation debacle is a direct result of the Insurance Commissioner's meddling in 1993. HMMMMM... Who was it in 1993?? AH... GARAMENDI!!!

It was also awesome to see Bustamante shove his knife directly between Gov. Lowbeam's shoulder blades.

I also can't wait to see Gary "whatchoo talkin bout Willis" Coleman in a governor's debate!!! Can he even AFFORD the $3500 on his security guard's salary???????

The vultures are circling!
