Gubernatorial Candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger has
been on a whirlwind campaign tour of California, and
this Friday he will be in Arcadia. This will be one
of the last times Arnold will be in the Los Angeles
area before the election on Tuesday, and John & Ken
will be there to meet him. Arnold’s “California Comeback
Express” Bus Tour will be arriving at the Los Angeles
Arboretum around 7:30am, and leaving by 8:30am. Seating
is limited, so it’s first come first serve! You are
encouraged to bring signs, cameras, and whatever KFI
gear you have. John & Ken will be hosting the event,
and giving you the chance to shake the hand of the actor
turned politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Join John & Ken for a special campaign rally with Arnold:

One way Arnie can cut some expense, no more personal need days. They sound way too touchy, feely, and, other than me, everybody uses them.

As for the appearance, I'll try! My camera is in the glove compartment, just in case!

Hey, if I can get up at 3:30 AM and be at the House of Blues in West Hollywood by 4:30 AM from Sherman Oaks.....and at the Krispy Kreme by 7:00 AM, (ok it was across the street from work...I got lucky for ONCE!) you guys over there in the San Gabriel Valley can swing by for at least a pic or two.

For the past two nights I've been waking up around 4:00 AM not sure why, but listening to KABC and Doug McIntyre until Bill Handel comes on.

I'm tired right now, but who wouldn't be after walking through FREAKIN COSTCO for a couple hours, and then......as we get close to the registers, Gilda says to me..."Can we go to Trader Joe's too? I want some of their cookies to take to my Dr's Appt in the morning." (I'm the chauferette for that too...but that's OK)

I told her, we can go anywhere you want...as long as I'm home by 3:00.

So, we go to Trader Freakin Joe's

with that parking lot and we're in the check out line...and Gilda tells me...we have to hurry up and go home...OK..np there...she wants to watch Crosstalk.

I think that this event is going to be packed tighter than Cruz Bustamante's suit.

They are plugging the hell out of it, plus it's J&K and ARNOLD at the same time.

For a 7:30 a.m. gig, how early do you think you will have to get there to even get in? 6 a.m.? Earlier?

Depends on if it's inside or outside. At the House of Blues, the Tickets and data sheet I received in the mail said:

You MUST be there by 4:30 AM or will not be admitted to the program. Of course there was no parking at the lot there (that was reserved for KABC employees, etc) so rather than find scare street parking nearby, I parked in the lot across the street. For me, it was worth the $ 5.00. KABC put on quite a spread, and a gathering of radio personalities so large, that I'd have to make a long list of names to remember.

I am not at all familiar with the Aboretum, but I can follow a map, and I've been as far East as South Pasadena.

Hmmm...wonder if it's worth staying overnight closer in a hotel? Maybe not...I've seen and talked to John and Ken a number of times....and if Arnie wins, I'm sure I can see him at a later date. Sounds like fun, though.

I'm real close to the Arboretum. I go there once in a while. I'll definately be there along with my sister.

crimmy-

there is a nice looking motel on the other side of the race track/mall. I think it's 40 bucks a night. And there is a good mexican restaurant just about right next to it. called Peppers.
The arboretum is maybe a mile away on the other side of the race track and mall - Santa Anita. After the event, you could go back to the motel and grab a few more hours sleep before you head back to S.O.

It's right across from the Santa Anita race track. Very nice neighborhood and always police around due to the mall and race track.
