Was it me, or did it seem like the press conference had a "celebration-like" mood to it? The guy is a sicko AND the parents who have taken their kids to him should be held accountable too. It makes me sick to my stomach imagining my kids with Jacko

That was an odd news conference. Maybe they were happy that Jackson was about to be apprehended for his misdeeds. I hope they issue a wanted poster and an all points bulletin. And a reward for his apprehension!

Also, in the scheme of things, MJ is just another pervert a-hole, but the questions from the 'press corpse' made the whole thing seem like the Second Coming.

Wanna bet he flees the country to his secret palace on some remote island in Polynesia?

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he left yesterday - or even before (all of the news reports were mentioning that he was SUPPOSEDLY in Las Vegas for a video shoot). We'll see if he shows up .........

Did you hear some asshole ask about serving lunch to the press and the quip back that they had budget restraints.

How Lame....all they wanted was TV time, and they got it.

I resent the latest (2 years or so...) freakin press conferences for every damned thing....WHY?

Just put it on Rueters...or the AP, we'll get the news later. This grand-staging makes me sick. He deserves NO publicity.

I agree DV. There was something very odd about that press conference. I've noticed the police and DA are getting more camera conscious all the time.

Do they have PR people? That's wierd, if they do, especially the police, aren't they suppose to stick to the facts, on a need to know basis? Those guys sounded like attorneys yesterday.

Those poor kids, that are supposedly Jackson's biological children, can you imagine? That's Dad! Ewww!

Then, there's Lisa Marie, she married the freak, and brought her little boy to live with Jackson. My guess is, Lisa Marie was not the prime interest here.

I just can't get all that interested, I was drawn in by the hoopla today and yesterday, but this is no big surprise, not a single person has said "oh my god! are you kidding?" I had little time to really watch the entire film of the SUV making it's way through Vegas streets. Why all the coverage? We saw a plane sitting on the tarp last night, they had that thing on camera for hours, turns out, it was the wrong plane, Jackson wasn't on it. There was a brief glimpse of Jackson in the cuffs, that was fun to watch, but it only lasted a moment. That photo(Thank you Evil Bunny Slippers and DV) was the highlight of the whole thing, that is a pretty telling photo. What now? We've seen it before, lawyers, courtrooms, will there be cameras? we'll see Michael Jackson walking into the courthouse(WOW!) There will be Limos with dark windows, press conferences on the steps outside the courthouse, what Michael Jackson wore, what expressions he made, his demeaner, descriptions of the victim's family....and on....and on.

Michael Jackson has been a freak for a long time. We've seen him on the road, seen Neverland, heard allegations of child molestation, other than official legal action, nothing's new. Big deal. Jackson will either walk, or recieve a light sentence. The victim's family will undoubtedly file a civil case, they'll get money. That's it. Why all the coverage?
